Rocky Readers/Book Battles
Rocky’s Readers is a lunchtime book club for 3rd, 4th or 5th grade students. ANY student who has read the book of the month is welcome to attend the meeting. Reminders and RSVP notices are sent out in advance so that we know how many students to expect. The virtual lunchtime meetings will include discussions related to the book.

Book Battles is a fabulous program to encourage students to read books from a variety of genres by making it into a game. The students “battle,” or compete, as teams to test their knowledge of the books. There are three separate lists of books, one for 3rd Grade, one for 4th Grade, and one for 5th Grade. The books are available to borrow from the school, classroom, and community libraries. Interested students read ALL the titles on their grade level list. In April, we form teams and the students begin practicing questions so that they can learn the rules and be ready to battle for the title of Hugo Reid's Literature Champions. START READING NOW!!!!!
