Halloween Parades -HRE

October 30th Halloween Costume and Parade Information: All students are invited to dress up in their safe Halloween costumes for our annual Halloween parade.  If your child would like to participate, please plan on sending your child in his/her costume upon arrival. Your child(ren) should plan to wear their costumes to school and can bring a change of clothes to wear after the parade. Our parades begin promptly at 8:30 AM at the little school and at 8:45 AM at the big school. 

• “Safe” costumes: NO weapons or dangerous objects/materials, please. Please use your best judgment. Students can wear masks on their head for the parade, but if safety becomes a concern, they will be asked to remove them. Please also send a change of clothes/shoes for the remainder of the school day if costume restricts students in any way.

• HRP parents will wait at the Hugo Reid Park for the primary parade to begin. Parents~please plan to stand on pavement, play structure wood chips, and INSIDE the cones on the grass. The parade route will walk the perimeter of the park and parents are asked to view the parade from the interior of the parade route. (First grade families are invited to stay at the park after the parade for First Grade Halloween Parent Coffee! )

• HRE parents should enter the big school campus on Cabrillo Road starting at 8:30 AM. Parents~please plan to stand on the OUTSIDE perimeter of the cones. Students will walk the interior perimeter of the cones for your viewing pleasure. 

• Parents can plan to stay and take pictures for a short while after the parade at the HRP park and on the HRE playground. Thank you in advance for your help in supporting this fun tradition for our students!
